JOSH WILSON
2020 Together Conference: Vision
Our 2023 Worship Team
In past years, we have been blessed with phenomenal worship experiences led by servants like Josh Wilson, Laura Story, and others. This year was no different! Read below to meet those who lead us into an experience with God during the 2023 Together Conference: BEYOND

Kailyn Cowger
Lead Vocals & Acoustic Guitar
Growing up in church, Kailyn has been a part of ministry her whole life. As an 8th grader, she started leading worship for her youth group and helping lead in the adult service. Small-town church, pastor's kid ... what else would you expect? That was just the beginning of the plans that God had for her. In college, she attended the Florida School of Discipleship where she focused on Youth and Worship ministry training. During that time she had the opportunity to travel and play for different churches, camps, events, conferences, etc. Kailyn moved to Atlanta, GA in 2014 and continues to serve as the Student Worship Pastor at Mount Paran Church. There's nothing she loves more than getting to walk closely with students. Seeing their love for Jesus grow and become their own is the most rewarding part of her servant position.

Nick Palmiotto
Vocals
Nick Palmiotto is a student at GA State University, pursuing a business degree with a focus on social entrepreneurship. He hopes to use his knowledge to apply to a career in full-time urban ministry when he graduates. Nicholas received the call to ministry at a young age and has been pursuing Jesus ever since. He has grown up at Mount Paran Church and serves there as a worship leader, as a small group leader, and has served in their Unlimited Special Needs and Disability Ministry since it was formed 9 years ago. He is currently serving as an intern for Together We Care and works part-time as a facilitator to several of the families that are served by the nonprofit.

Sophia DaSilva
Vocals
Sophia DaSilva is currently a second-year college student at GA State University as a theatre major. She started leading worship when she was in 6th grade and has always had the influence of her mother, who is also a worship leader. Sophia had many leaders that poured into her during her middle school years, allowing her to grow as a servant of God. Having that environment allowed Sophia to feel the love of God even more and guided her to what a healthy relationship with Jesus looks like. The more Sophia was given a chance to lead worship, the more she learned from her relationship with God, and the more He continued to reveal how unconditional His love is for her and for those around her.

John Whitley
Vocals
Born and raised in Georgia, John Whitley grew up homeschooled by two parents who were heavily involved in church ministry; they brought their children up the way the word leads one to. Being the youngest of three siblings, John witnessed the way his family dedicated their lives to serving the Lord through dance, worship, and positions in leadership. He has since built his own personal relationship with the Lord and continues to pursue Christ as he passionately serves at his Church Mount Paran. John joined the choir in 2018 at Mount Paran, where he leads worship in young adults, outreach programs, and the main service on Sunday mornings. Currently, John teaches as a Gwinnett County Paraprofessional, and persists in sharing the love of Christ in his community and building his life with his faith.

Daniel DeOliveira
Drums
Daniel DeOliveira is a 26-year-old with Autism and several other mental and medical conditions as well as a cancer survivor. Daniel has loved playing drums since he was little. He grew up at Mount Paran Church and was given the opportunity to play at Mount Paran North in the main sanctuary. You can watch him "air playing" his drums along with the drummer during the church services. Drums are his life! Daniel meets with his instructor every week and practices his drums every day. We are thrilled to have his God-given talent, skill, and passion as part of the Together Conference Worship Team!

Joel Brene
Electric Guitar
Joel Brene is a Cuban native who grew up in a household that has always been heavily involved in the church. From a young age, Joel was exposed to many different styles of music and has had a love of music his entire life. While in middle school, Joel was provided an opportunity to join his church’s youth worship team. He led worship with the youth band, playing bass guitar, throughout his middle and high school years. Joel continues to use his gifts and talents to serve the Lord and the youth congregation as well as perform with other local ministries in Atlanta.

AJ John
Bass Guitar
AJ John is a multi-instrumentalist, singer/songwriter, and producer based in the Atlanta area. He started piano lessons at the age of five, but by thirteen he found himself deeply passionate about drums, bass, and guitar too. He was a member of the Georgia Boy Choir for 11 years, with whom he performed extensively in Atlanta and around the world. In 2020, he earned his Computer Science degree from Georgia Tech, where he was also a drummer in the Basketball Pep Band and Jazz Bands, and served as the GT Band Club Vice President. AJ spends most of his free time involved in music, whether it’s writing or recording a song at his home studio, or performing live in different contexts. Sunday in particular is his favorite day of the week; you can find him serving in various church’s music ministries, whether it’s as the drummer, the bass player, or even as a worship leader.

Timmy Stephens
Keys
Timmy was born and raised in a music-loving family. At a young age, he took an interest and hasn't quit playing ever since. He started out on drums, then moved to bass and piano. Over the years he has enjoyed getting to play with different artists and genres. He has been thankful to make great friends and memories while out playing and traveling, but he enjoys getting to be home to play and take part in worship at his home church. He also enjoys doing studio tracking sessions and overdubs. Timmy, his wife, Lauren, and their twin girls, Abigail and Khloe, live in Carrollton, Georgia.
